It's free standing design allows for easy setup in almost any terrain with pole clips that quickly attach to aluminum poles making setup a breeze. The tent walls are partially made of mesh to allow plenty of ventilation especially useful in the summer months.

Conclusion:
The Alps Mountaineering Lynx 1 is a very sturdy and basic tent which is a good all rounder. Don't expect anything flashy from this one but as I said earlier for the money you pay is an excellent tent. I liked it's simple and yet durable design, setting up the tent is easy and really important factor to consider in my opinion.

This tent is a 3 person tent and provides '3 season'
protection.
The Big Agnes Jack Rabbit SL3 has 2 doors and 2 vestibules
with plenty of internal storage. The walls are fairly straight so provides a
good space inside offering excellent head space. The material seems thin but
the it's top quality so no problem with strength, which is what you would
expect from a high quality tent such as this.
The mesh is made of polyester and the tent nylon which
offers ample ventilation.
The fly and the floor are made of lightweight silicone with
nylon rip-stop. All seams are taped with waterproof solvent-free polyurethane
tape. The DAC poles are made from TH72M anodized aluminium(strong but light).
This tent is high quality so expect to pay a little more. Summing up, this tent is a great and wouldn't hesitate to take a closer look, especially for under 300 bucks.
All reviews are are great for this product but there is one small issue I found, check out my thoughts below.
Cons:
Cramped for 3 people

Kelty Salida 2
Kelty Salida 2 tent review
As we know less weight equates to higher price. The Kelty
Salida 2 person tent is one that balances both key criteria really well. Priced
at around $130 it weighs a mere 3lbs 12oz. That's the weight as quoted by Kelty
themselves although this is the unpacked weight. The packed weight figure is around 4lbs 8oz. This makes it ideal for up to 3 day hikes.
Although if you needed to you could replace the tent stakes with titanium sheep
hooks which can make the packaged weight lighter.

Kelty 2 person tent |
This tent was winner of the 2011 Backpacker Editor's ChoiceAward,
making it one of the best backpacking tents on the market.
This is a freestanding tent making it a breeze to setup and
can be pitched amongst trees and frozen ground.
This tent contains an inner tent and rain fly. The inner
tent floor is PU coated and consists of a bath tub floor.
The rain fly drapes over the inner tent which creates a
vestible area that is not huge but there is enough space to cover shoes and
backpack quite easily. Each flap of the rain fly can be draped separately to
provide more space if needed.
The inner tent has ample space for 2 people and even some
gear. You could fit a six foot sleeping bag with room left over. Also contains
internal gear loops to hang lighting and other items if needed. The Salida 2
also comes included with gear loft for drying clothing, some other manufactures
will charge you extra for this. You will also find mesh pockets in the corners
to store small items(nice little feature).
Dimensions:
The packed dimensions are 7" by 22" making it a
reasonable size for hiking trips.
The pitced tent has a height of 43 inches, a width of 55
inches and length of 88 inches, ideal for 2 people and some gear.
Pros:
Very easy to setup
Can be setup virtually anywhere
Lot's of mesh ventilation
Cons:
The vestible space could have been bigger
Slightly on the heavy size for long hikes

Conclusion:

for this good quality tent. As noted earlier it's slightly heavier than the
pricier backpacking tents but for the price it's awesome value.
