Alps Mountaineering Lynx 1 tent review

If your looking for an affordable lightweight tent than the Alps Mountaineering Lynx 1 person tent could be the one for you. It's free standing design allows for easy setup in almost any terrain with pole clips that quickly attach to aluminum poles making setup a breeze. The tent walls are partially made of mesh to allow plenty of ventilation especially useful in the summer months.

Large vestibule with several internal storage areas.

This tent provides a vestibule large enough to store a 65 litre pack plenty of space for all your backpacking gear nicely tucked away from the elements. You will find three mesh pockets inside the tent one being suspended above the head.

3-season tent

Has a sturdy floor made of polyester taffeta with 2000mm coating. Also comes with weatherproof fly buckles for maximum protection. The 75D 185T polyester fly also resists UV damage a great feature with lots of sun about.
The rain fly provides that added protection that's required for the harsher weather, they are durable and quality sealed.

Conclusion:

The Alps Mountaineering Lynx 1 is a very sturdy and basic tent which is a good all rounder. Don't expect anything flashy from this one but as I said earlier for the money you pay is an excellent tent. While researching this tent I found it to be one of the better lightweight tents that should seriously be considered. I liked it's simple and yet durable design, setting up the tent is easy and really important factor to consider in my opinion.
